Raising the Tibetan Flag in Wales

Raising the Tibetan Flag ?

21414-e6669fb2d97245059b65c1167dfdd23eWe will be flying the Tibetan flag on Friday 10th March 2017 from 12 midday to 8pm in the PARK outside of Caerphilly Castle.

This is to mark the 58th Anniversary of the  1959 Tibetan Uprising.  On this day Hundreds of thousands of Tibetans surrounded the Potala Palace in Lhasa to offer protection,  fearing the Dalai Lama would be abducted.   The uprising was brutally suppressed and the Dalai Lama was forced to flee into exile.

Please come and join us, take photos of the flag and upload them to Social media.  Help us to bring awareness in Wales of the plight in Tibet, the second most repressed country in the world after Syria.  Tibetans lack basic human rights.  Their language, culture and lives are under constant threat and they fear imprisonment and torture.

Stand by the flag and take a photo……………. something no one can do in Tibet !
